Career Background
Guy brings deep level expertise in the delivery of complex corporate transactions involving multiple jurisdictions. Career milestones include the establishment of new businesses (within existing corporate environments), profit-line responsibility, medium and large corporate acquisitions and divestitures, team development and management.
Guy has worked on over 50+ transactions and been this includes accountability for multinational transactions valued between R30 million and R1 billion ($1,5m and $60m).
Guy started his career at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant whereafter he joined the Corporate Finance team at Ernst & Young (EY). He later helped establish Dubai World Africa, a global Direct Foreign Investment (DFI) fund. Later Guy set up an international business on behalf of the Altron Electronics Corporation and led the development of an Africa-wide expansion strategy across 15 countries outside South Africa which included acquisitions. Guy was thereafter appointed as Chief Financial Officer of a financial services conglomerate based in South Africa involved in private equity and venture capital activities.

Guy currently provides transaction and investment services to clients in South Africa and the Rest of Africa. Engagements include work on implementing improvements to enhance returns to shareholders which may include divestitures or acquisitions / enlargement.
Guy’s extensive experience working with listed multinational companies including those operating across the African continent provide an ability to operate in a broad range of business settings and environments.
